Municipal Services Delivery Program
Municipal Services Development Program (MSDP) is a USAID funded Program with USAID grant amounting to US$ 66.00 million, and the Government of Sindh would share as counterpart funding an amount of Rs.926.55 million for improvement and upgradation municipal services / infrastructure in selected towns of Sindh. For this purpose, six towns have been selected i.e. Jacobabad, Qambar, ShahdadKot, K.N Shah, Mehar and Johi.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
Improvement of basic service delivery, up-gradation of information systems for planning, operations and M&E, and establishment of a collaborative partner relationship between USAID and Provincial Government for urban policy, program design and implementation.
MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE PROGRAM
There are two major components of the program.
- Infrastructure Development: Water Supply, Sanitation and Solid waste management
- Soft Component: Community Engagement / Capacity Building, Management Reform Information System, 3rd Party Monitoring / Impact Assessment
