Standing Rates Committee (SRC), Sindh and Schedule of Rates

The Standing Rates Committee (SRC) is responsible to prepare the Basic and Composite Schedule of Rates (CSR) for different materials and amend it from time to time in the light of market rates. The 1st SRC was established on 1st March 1972 by Government of Sindh. It consisted of 5 members with Additional Secretary, Finance Department as its Chairman. The 1st Schedule of Rates was published by SRC in May 1976. Since then the SRC has been reconstituted from time to time. Recently, the Government of Sindh reconstituted the SRC in May 2021 and appointed Member Energy & Infrastructure, P&D Board as its Chairman. The Technical Committee (TC) of SRC was notified in January 2022. Since then the SRC and its technical committee have worked hard to update the basic and composite schedules in collaboration with Chief Engineers of Nation Building Departments. The revised versions of Basic and Composite Schedule of Rates were approved by SRC in its 122nd meeting held on 4th July 2022 and have been enforced with effect from 7th July 2022.
